Randolph the Bow-Legged Cowboy

So, when I was a young girl my mom and dad started many Christmas traditions with me that I still treasure to this day. One is reading Christmas stories by the glow of the lights on the tree.. Another is my mother's to-die-for party mix... And yet another is listening to Christmas carols on the old record player.. there's just something so touching and beautiful about an old vinyl record spinning out treasured Christmas songs...

Yet, there's one memory that still cracks me up to this day... My dad singing me the song "Randolph, the Bow-Legged Cowboy" to the tune of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." Just for the fun of it, and the memories, I wanted to share it with you, my readers...

Randolph the bow-legged cowboy
Had a very shiny gun
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glowed

All of the other cowboys
Used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Randolph
Join in any cowboy games

Then one foggy Saturday night
The Sheriff came to say
Randolph with your gun so bright
Won't you shoot my wife tonight?

Then how the cowboys loved him
And they shouted out with glee
Randolph the bow-legged cowboy
You'll go down in history!!

Wishing each and every one of my readers a holiday season filled with lots of friends, family and love... and many, many blessings!!!

Brought back my elementary school days...

Instead of "You would even say it glowed", I remember it as "You would turn around and run". I also don't remember the part about shooting the sherrif's wife, but can't think of what it could've been either.
